Virginia Museum of Fine Arts The Virginia Museum
of Fine Arts is preparing to host a major exhibition of early
American quilts from Winterthur’s renowned collection this fall.
Dating from the 1700s to 1850, the exhibition features stunning
examples of American women’s skill and artistry, including white
work, appliqué, whole cloth, pieced, embroidered, and stenciled
quilts.
