2012 Block of the Month 1800's Quilt Presented by Bonnie
Every month at least one 9” block that was used during the 1800’s will be presented. Hopefully I will be able to give you a little history of either the block or the quilt I found it in. There will be 12 blocks plus a pieced center medallion on point.

Our Guild Quilt

We created this quilt in 2005.  Each block is a "Sun Bonnet Sue" representation of each member.  New members are asked to create a block to add to our quilt.  We plan to make panels to hang along side the original quilt.
Individually we are quilters; together we are The Country Piecemakers'!

President's Gavel

The President's Gavel was created by Deane Cox, a member of the Arts and Crafts Guild of Goochland.  It will be passed from President to President over the years.

Our Mission

Our Guild was organized February 2003 to serve Powhatan, Amelia, Goochland, Cumberland, Cartersville, Chesterfield, Buckingham, and surrounding counties.

Our mission is to preserve quilt history and expand quilt knowledge and techniques for both quilters and non quilters alike.
